Day 7 -30 day challenge -Tufted Titmouse

I have been painting nearly every day, though not always to completion.
I can tell you a little secret. I’ve been a a little distracted the last couple of days
and have neglected to post something on my blog.
Below ...you will see my distraction...

But first, here is a Tufted Titmouse I painted yesterday!

This is available here: Click to Bid

A future painting subject!
Meet Lily! She is a 13 week old Cavachon.
(a Cavalier and Bichon blend)
She has the sweetest disposition and has already stollen our hearts!
We had no intention of getting a second dog (at least not so soon)
But the opportunity fell in our laps. Our 9 yr old Rosie (miniature Schnauzer)
has a disjointed nose at the moment...but is slowly coming around!

Day 4 -30 day challenge-“Aussie”

Someone sent me pictures of this beautiful Australian Shepherd a while ago.
I can’t remember who or what this little guys name is.
So, I’m naming the painting “Aussie”. This is a very beautiful and smart bread.

This is available for auction here: Click to Bid
(This is also available as a “Buy Now” option which will end the auction)

Day 2 - 30 day challenge “Hopper”

OK, so here’s a quick one I did. I painted for most of the day! Not that this took that long, but I completed this one anyways!
I love nature and animals. We used to have a couple of bunnies when I was growing up. They are so adorable to me.

Hope all the football fans enjoy the SuperBowl game tonight! ❤️❤️❤️

Hopper is available on aucton if you are interested in a fun and cost effective way to aquire art!
You can find it here: Click to Bid

Day # 22 - 30 paintings in 30 days challenge

I love dogs! I have wanted to ask my friends to send me pictures
of their furry friends to add to this challenge. I decided for now,
I had enough to work on to get me through these 30 days.
But afterwards, I would love to have people send me images
of their dogs for me to use royalty free to paint from. So, in the next couple
of months, keep that in mind and start looking through your pictures!

Day #6 - 30paintings in 30 days challenge

Here's a favorite subject of mine! I love doing animals! This one is our sweet little 12 lb furry baby.
We nickname her "the Doorbell" (not her real name of course) because she often alerts us when someone is coming up the walk,
long before they even knock! She is a white Miniature Schnauzer. ❤️

Birds, Birds,Birds by Dee Lessard

BlueJay   6x6 oil  by Dee Lessard       available
Pine Warbler     6x6    oil   by Dee Lessard      SOLD
Cardinal   6x6  oil by Dee Lessard     available

Above are paintings currently in the e-ART-h show.  I had a blast creating these.
I love animals but near the top are birds. I think they are beautiful creatures!

We had one growing up named "Pretty Boy" who, as it turned out, was a Monk Parrot.
his official name was Armstrong. My father caught him on the day Neal Armstrong landed on the moon back in 1969. (It's one way to remember history!)  New England got inundated with them when a crate fell off a truck at the airport while on their way to being sold at pet stores.  We had never seen a green bird before....in nature (and outside a pet store). So, pretty boy got a broken wing while in the process of getting "caught". My mom nursed him back to health. He was never able to fly again, so he perched most days on top of his open cage. We had him for 10 years!!! He was a wonderful pet...about the size of a bluejay or cardinal (But all green!).

If you are interested in purchasing the available paintings above, feel free to contact me!

Old Yeller

Old Yeller      5x7 oil by Dee Lessard

It's been a crazy mild winter until today! With 10" of snow dumped on us ....just to remind us that in fact it is still winter! Skiers are thrilled. I prefer warmer climates. But I am NOT complaining! Now everyone is happy. Non-skiers had their time and now the skiers can have theirs....as long as the snow melts QUICKLY!!! HAHA!

Here is another dog painting. Dogs are such great company....and always wanting to please.
If you would like to get a good deal on this you can place a bid by CLICKING HERE.

"Rosie”

I have been spending time updating my website with new images and was surprised to see how many I needed to add! That means I’m keeping busy with painting! :)
I just painted this yesterday and gave it to my husband for Fathers Day (Early!….I couldn’t wait!)
Don’t you just want to kiss her?! Guy Loved it too!
